Jacqueline Camacho-Ruiz, is owner and “Make-it-Happen” Director of JJR Marketing Consultants LLC in Aurora. An entrepreneur with proven abilities in marketing, sales and business communications, Jackie brings a rare ability to transfer her own experiences as a young Hispanic woman to business plans and materials that allow her clients to reach both the 20-something and Multicultural audiences. Demonstrating great enthusiasm and integrity, Jackie’s passion shines through all that she does.
Jackie was recently recognized as a 2009 Emerging Leader by the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM), an award given to the next wave of industry professionals who have proven to be guiding marketing in a promising and productive direction through innovation and creativity. Jacqueline just received the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award in the Minority category by The Business Ledger Newspaper. She is a finalist for 2009 Latina Entrepreneur of the Year by Chicago Latino Network. Jackie was also honored as a top hospitality industry marketer by Food Industry News, and has contributed to several articles for The Daily Herald, Chicago Association of Direct Marketing, and other publications. She is a regular guest host at “Living the Dream” radio show where she shares ways to market to multicultural segments across the United States. Jacqueline writes a weekly column on “motivation” for Ultimas Noticias, a Hispanic (Spanish) newspaper with 45,000 distribution in the Chicagoland area.
Jackie has given presentations to the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing, Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce, Northwestern University, Aurora Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, National Latino Education Institute, Illinois Optometric Association and the Oak Brook, Chicagoland and Westmont Chambers of Commerce, among other organizations.
Jackie is a Marketing Committee Co-Chair for the City of Aurora Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board; a member of the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce; an Official Marketing Partner and member of the Aurora Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was on the Advisory Board for Westwood College 2007. Jackie has also been appointed Vice President 2007-08 for International Food Service Executives Association (IFSEA), has received a Competent Communicator Certificate for Toastmasters International and has been appointed as Vice President of Education 2009 for Toastmasters International Naperville club.
